The White Mountain Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation  will be hosting a Junior Elk Camp October  8, 9 and 10, 2021 at Sheep Corral in the Greens Peak area in Unit 1. This event is held in conjunction with the Unit 1 and 2C Youth Only Elk Hunt. We would like to invite those youth hunters, and their families, who are lucky enough to get drawn for a tag for this hunt to attend our camp. The camp is intended to serve as a social gathering site in order to provide a positive and educational experience for youth hunters and their families.

Register by October 1st to be eligible to participate in Saturday night's drawing for prizes. Registrations will be accepted after October 1st for camp only. 

 

The camp will provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, hot coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks and snacks, FREE OF CHARGE, to all our youth hunters and their family and friends. Each meal will be prepared and served by Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation volunteers. Arizona Game and Fish Wildlife Managers and experienced mentors will be on site to provide hunt information, tips on field dressing, meat care and field assistance as requested. 

 

This is a family oriented camp and each night we will have a roaring campfire to provide the perfect atmosphere to stand around while we talk about our day's hunt experience or maybe tell a story or two. Saturday night we will have a big raffle for all of our registered Youth Hunters. Each hunter is guaranteed to win a very nice prize, with our grand prize this year being a rife.
